In a chilling encounter, a former NYPD officer and 911 responder, Bobby, had a terrifying experience at his cabin in Upstate New York. While enjoying a campfire with a friend, they heard what sounded like two old ladies talking in the distance. The voices were described as high-pitched and scratchy, coming from the tree line in the dark forest. Bobby, who had spent years working in law enforcement, couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. His friend dismissed it as the radio, but Bobby knew it wasn't. He took his flashlight and approached the tree line, shining the light in the direction of the voices. As soon as he did, the voices stopped. A few minutes later, they heard the voices again. This time, Bobby walked over to the tree line a second time, and once again, the voices stopped as soon as he shined his flashlight in their direction. The hair on his arms was standing up as he recounted the story, still visibly shaken by the experience. A few days later, Bobby returned to his cabin and noticed that the branches of a big beautiful pine tree on the right side of the house were broken and hanging along the main trunk. There was no windstorm, and Bobby couldn't figure out what had caused the damage. He and his friend took a drive to Home Depot and got a pole saw to clean up the tree. As they were cleaning up the branches, they noticed a large branch about eight to nine feet up that looked like it had been twisted by massive hands. Bobby couldn't imagine what could have caused such damage, and his friend agreed that it didn't make any sense. Bobby took his friends to see the new shed they had built and noticed four trees that were about three to four inches around, all pushed over in the same direction. He couldn't explain what had caused it and was left feeling puzzled and uneasy. As they were sitting around the campfire that night, Bobby heard a sound coming from a pipe that went right into the forest where he had heard the voices a week earlier. His friend suggested it might be a bird pecking on the pipe, but Bobby wasn't so sure. He walked over to the pipe with his flashlight and shined it in the direction of the sound, and it stopped. The same thing happened a second time, leaving Bobby feeling uneasy. That night, Bobby was awoken by a loud thud, as if someone had dropped a large rock or a bowling ball outside his window. He looked out the window and saw a big round head walk by, paralyzing him with fear. He couldn't move or even hide under the covers, sitting frozen in fear for several minutes. Bobby's story is a chilling reminder of the unexplained phenomena that can occur in the wilderness. While the experience left him shaken, it also highlights the beauty and mystery of nature.
