If you're a fan of Sasquatch sightings and stories, then you're in luck! I recently came across a video from the YouTube channel RenaissanceMan that shares some fascinating accounts from John Green's book "Sasquatch: The Apes Among Us." In the video, the host reads a couple of stories from the book, and one of them takes place at Pitt Lake, which is located in British Columbia. According to the book, Pitt Lake has had two Sasquatch encounters, making it an interesting location for Bigfoot enthusiasts. The first story from Pitt Lake involves a group of hunters and prospectors who encountered a large, light brown creature about eight feet tall, standing on its hind legs and pulling berry bushes with one hand or paw towards it while putting the berries into its mouth with the other hand or paw. The creature then disappeared into the brush about 200 yards away. The second story from Pitt Lake is about a retired insurance broker who, along with another man, saw a "human face on a fur-covered body" while they were looking for interesting rocks on a plateau near the lake. They waited for the creature to leave and then went down to examine the rocks, where they found large human tracks with no claw marks. The video also mentions a story from 1967 when the BC Provincial Museum issued a public appeal for information about Harry Giants and huge tracks. Two brothers who were professional prospectors reported encountering some fairly fresh tracks in the snow in the rugged mountains Northwest of Pitt Lake, British Columbia in June 1965. The prints were enormous, twice as long as their own boots and as wide as the boot is long. They were perfectly flat and showed four clear toe imprints with the big toe on the side of the foot like a man's. The parallel tracks were widely spaced from side to side, and there was a wide but shallow drag mark running along between them. Outside the line of the prints on either side were narrower and deeper grooves. The snow was old and hard, but both the prints and the odor drag marks sank in about two inches. As a side note, the video host also mentions that he is an Amazon affiliate and encourages viewers to purchase the book using his link to help support the channel. Overall, the video is an exciting find for Bigfoot enthusiasts, as it shares some intriguing stories from John Green's book. If you're interested in learning more about these encounters, be sure to check out the video and the book!
