Have you ever wondered if there's more to the Bigfoot phenomenon than meets the eye? If so, you're not alone. Many Bigfoot believers have speculated that the government might be involved in a cover-up to suppress the truth about the existence of Sasquatch. Thanks to a video from the YouTube channel MindShock, we can explore this intriguing possibility.
In the video, hosts Bruce McGuire and Honey Mills discuss the idea of a government conspiracy to silence Bigfoot researchers and cover up evidence of the creature's existence. They point to several historical sources where the US government might have admitted that Bigfoot is real before the conspiracy of silence.
One such source is the U.S Army Corps of Engineers' Environmental Atlas for Washington State, published in 1975. The Atlas refers to Sasquatch as a real creature and offers a map pinpointing all known reports of Sasquatch sightings. The Atlas also notes that a sample of reputed Sasquatch hair was analyzed by the FBI and found to belong to no known animal.
However, when Peter Byrne of the Bigfoot Research Project in Mount Hood, Oregon, wrote to the FBI requesting information about the hair analysis, the FBI replied that they were unable to locate any references to such examinations in their files. The Army Atlas and other information relative to the FBI were obtained by Jody Cook under the Freedom of Information Privacy Act, but the FBI was unable to locate a document labeled "serial 4" in the file.
Despite this, there is evidence that analysis of hair samples did take place. George Clappison, who did extensive research on this incident, was referred by the FBI to the ex-head of their hair and fiber unit. This person, who now runs his own private laboratory out of his home, was in charge at the time the hair samples were submitted to the FBI. He told Clappison that the analysis was done after hours on employees' own time and that no written reports were prepared on the analysis.
The video also mentions the Department of the Interior Fish and Wildlife Service's recognition of Bigfoot as a species in 1977. The service is responsible for protecting endangered and threatened species, and Bigfoot was given a scientific name in a recognized scientific publication.
So, what does all this mean for Bigfoot believers? While we may never know for sure if there is a government cover-up, these historical sources provide food for thought and encourage us to keep an open mind about the possibility of Sasquatch's existence.
As Bigfoot believers, it's good to stay informed about all aspects of the phenomenon, including possible connections to government agencies. By educating ourselves, we can continue to advocate for the recognition and protection of Sasquatch and other cryptids.
So, the next time you come across a video or article that explores the possibility of a government cover-up of Bigfoot's existence, take a moment to consider the evidence and keep an open mind. Who knows what secrets the government might be hiding?
