In a recent video from the YouTube channel Sasquatch Outpost, host Johnny King interviews Jim Myers, owner of the Sasquatch Outpost in Bailey, Colorado. The two discuss their belief in Bigfoot, also known as Sasquatch, and the evidence that supports its existence.
Myers shares that his interest in Bigfoot began in 1972 after watching the movie "The Legend of Boggy Creek." It wasn't until he moved to Colorado in 2009 and met a local Bigfoot eyewitness that he became fully convinced of its existence. He and his wife then turned their grocery store into the Sasquatch Outpost and museum, which has since seen over 35,000 visitors.
One piece of evidence that Myers finds particularly compelling is footprint castings. He explains that there are thousands of tracks that have been cast by researchers, all with similar morphology. He also mentions vocalizations and DNA evidence as strong pieces of evidence.
The video also touches on the topic of DNA evidence and the Ketchum study, also known as the Sasquatch Genome Project. The study, which was conducted in 2013, found that the DNA of Bigfoot samples submitted from around the country had mitochondrial DNA that was human on the female side and unknown on the male side. Myers explains that this suggests that Bigfoot is a human hybrid of some kind.
It's also worth noting that Myers mentions that there are probably six more museums dedicated to Sasquatch in the United States, and that there have been sightings in every state in the continental U.S.
If you're interested in learning more about the evidence supporting the existence of Bigfoot, this video is definitely worth a watch. You can check it out on the Sasquatch Outpost YouTube channel. And as always, keep an open mind and stay squatchable!
