Have you ever heard of Gigantopithecus? If you’re a Bigfoot enthusiast, you might be aware of the theory that Bigfoot is a relic population of this extinct species of ape. According to the YouTube channel TCC Research in their video titled “The Crypto Files | Bigfoot! | Ep35”, some researchers like Grover Krantz and Jeffrey H Bourne believe that this could be a possibility.
Gigantopithecus fossils have been found in Asia, and as many species of animals migrated across the Bering land bridge, it’s not unreasonable to assume that Gigantopithecus might have as well. However, mainstream scientists do not consider the subject of Bigfoot a credible area of science, and there have been limited formal scientific studies of Bigfoot.
But that doesn’t stop organizations like the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization (BFRO) from investigating and researching Bigfoot sightings in the United States. The BFRO is the oldest and largest organization dedicated to the research and investigation of Bigfoot sightings in the country.
Now, let’s talk about Gigantopithecus. This ape was massive, with some species estimated to have stood over 10 feet tall and weighing up to 1200 pounds. They were primarily herbivores, feeding on bamboo, fruits, and nuts. Gigantopithecus lived in Asia during the Pleistocene epoch, which ended around 11,700 years ago.
The extinction of Gigantopithecus is still a subject of debate among scientists. Some believe that climate change and the loss of their habitat led to their extinction. In contrast, others suggest that competition with early humans for resources could have played a role.
So, what does this mean for Bigfoot? While there is no concrete evidence to support the theory that Bigfoot is a relic population of Gigantopithecus, it’s an interesting idea to consider. After all, Bigfoot sightings continue to be reported throughout North America, and the search for definitive proof of their existence continues.
If you’re interested in learning more about Bigfoot and the possibility of Gigantopithecus’ survival, be sure to check out the TCC Research video on YouTube. And who knows, maybe one day we’ll have definitive proof of Bigfoot’s existence, and we can put this theory to the test.
