The search party, consisting of the Boy Scouts, leaders, and local authorities, scoured the area for Jake but eventually had to call off the search due to the dangerous terrain and the fast-moving river that they couldn't cross. Jake was never found, and his disappearance remains a mystery to this day. What makes this story even more intriguing is an experience Dakota had 20 years after Jake's disappearance. While fishing at the same spot where he and Jake used to fish, Dakota heard a voice behind him. He turned around to find a man who was extremely hairy from head to toe.
