Have you ever heard of the Juanita Border in Washington state, near Trail? It's a place where a lot of people have reported seeing something unusual - a bipedal creature that's big and tall, and definitely not a bear. Recently, I came across a video from the YouTube channel BC Extreme Outdoorsman, where the host, Al, and his ex-brother-in-law Randy, share their own sighting from 1995.
Randy and his friends were on a 300-yard sandy beach, right off the water, when they saw a Sasquatch walking slowly along the beach. The creature was black, about 10-15 feet tall, and had big broad shoulders. It was walking upright, just like a human, and didn't seem to be bothered by anything. Randy and his friends watched the Sasquatch for 5-10 minutes, in disbelief, before it disappeared into the trees.
What's interesting about this sighting is that it's not the only one in the area. Al mentioned that the border guard he spoke to also had a sighting story to share. And, when Al asked his dad about any strange encounters he had while hunting as a teenager, he told a story about hearing banging on a stump, silhouetted against the sky, while he was hunting near Violin Lake.
This video is a great reminder that Sasquatch sightings are not limited to one area, but are reported all across the Pacific Northwest, including Washington, Idaho, Montana, and right here in our own backyard. It's also a reminder that when we ask people about their experiences, we never know what stories they might have to share.
So, the next time you're out in the woods, keep your eyes and ears open. You never know what you might encounter! And, if you do have a sighting or encounter, be sure to share it with us. We'd love to hear your story.
In the meantime, be sure to check out the full video from BC Extreme Outdoorsman on YouTube. It's definitely worth a watch. And, as always, happy squatching!
