If you're a Bigfoot enthusiast, you've likely heard of John Green, one of the most renowned Sasquatch investigators in history. A video recently surfaced on the YouTube channel, WILLSTAR MONSTERS & MYSTERIES, featuring an encounter that John Green himself described as one of the most productive days he ever spent investigating Sasquatch.
The encounter took place in Oregon, where Glenn Thomas, a cat skinner, was fighter trailing. Glenn decided to walk a mile down the trail to warm up and see the country. He found himself on a mountain trail, at an elevation of four to five thousand feet, when he noticed something unusual. Rocks were turned over, and dry on a foggy day, which caught his attention. As he looked up, he saw three ape-like creatures, about 40 or 50 feet up on a ridge of rock.
The creatures were picking up rocks and smelling them, carefully moving on for a few minutes. The male eventually found what he was looking for and dug into the rocks, which were large boulders, not the round river type. The animals would pick them up, smell them, and lay them down on top of each other, creating piles. When the male found what he was looking for, he really made the rocks fly, jerking them out with his hands, not seeming to take any precautions for his safety.
Glenn watched as the creatures brought out what appeared to be a grass nest, possibly some stored hay that small rodents had stored there. They dug through it and brought out the rodents, which seemed to be in hibernation or asleep. The creatures ate them, and when they became aware of Glenn's presence, they suddenly became quiet and moved behind some low-hanging limbs on a tree. Glenn didn't see them again after that.
But that's not all. In a fun fact revealed at the beginning of the video, a quarter-mile away from this encounter is a landmark called Tarzan Springs. The name comes from a logging surveying crew in the 1920s who stumbled upon an old prospector living at the spring with a family of ape-like creatures. The film Tarzan of the Apes had just come out in 1918, so the survey crew dubbed the spring Tarzan Springs.
