In a recent video from the YouTube channel Blondes and Boos Paranormal Podcast, hosts Carista, Aaron, and Brandy interview guests Elijah and Gabby Henderson from Cryptid Studies Institute. The Hendersons share their personal experiences and fascination with cryptids, particularly the Beast of the LBL (Land Between the Lakes) in Kentucky and Tennessee. As children, Elijah and Gabby were exposed to various cryptid stories by their father, who was the founder of Cryptid Studies Institute. One story that particularly intrigued them was the legend of Werewolf Springs in Montgomery Bell State Park, Tennessee. According to local lore, a circus train derailed in the late 1800s, releasing a male and female wild man or wolf-man from Borneo. These creatures were never recaptured and were believed to be responsible for sightings of a werewolf in the area. During a family camping trip to Montgomery Bell State Park, Elijah and Gabby had their own cryptid encounter. While hiking off the path, they discovered a ring of bird feathers, as if something had been plucking a bird. Shortly after, they heard a long, loud, and mournful howl that seemed to vibrate through their chests. The howl was so intense that two women with a baby in a carrier were running to escape, their baby's head bobbing from the rapid movement. Elijah and Gabby's interest in the Beast of the LBL was piqued when they heard a noise similar to the Dogman howl while hiking at night in the main part of the park. They managed to record the sound, which they later described as the scariest part of the night. In addition to their personal experiences, Elijah and Gabby also shared some interesting bits related to the world of cryptozoology. For instance, the term "cryptid" refers to any creature whose existence is disputed or unsubstantiated. Cryptids are often associated with folklore, myths, and unconfirmed sightings. Some well-known cryptids include Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, and the Chupacabra. Cryptozoology, the study of hidden or unknown animals, is a fascinating field that combines elements of biology, anthropology, and folklore. While it is not an officially recognized scientific discipline, cryptozoology has contributed to the discovery of several previously unknown species, such as the coelacanth, a type of prehistoric fish thought to be extinct, and the mountain gorilla. The Blondes and Boos Paranormal Podcast video offers a captivating glimpse into the world of cryptozoology and the personal experiences of Elijah and Gabby Henderson. Their stories serve as a reminder that the world is full of mysteries and unknown creatures, waiting to be discovered and understood.
