Have you heard about the legend of the Mogollon Monster in Arizona? According to reports, this creature is said to be covered in long white hair with a few spots of dirty skin exposed. The first sighting of this mysterious being was reported near the Grand Canyon in 1903, making it an ancient legend that has been passed down for over a century.
Recently, a video was posted on YouTube by the channel OUTV, showcasing an investigation of the area near the Grand Canyon in search of the Mogollon Monster. The investigator sets up a camera in a forested area, leaving a snack as bait to attract any potential visitors.
As the wind picks up, the investigator hears strange noises that he can't quite explain. Although he doesn't catch anything on camera, he can't shake off the feeling that whatever was making those noises was not a known animal in the area.
But what exactly could this mysterious creature be? While we at Squatchable can't say for sure, we do know that the Grand Canyon and its surrounding areas are home to a diverse range of wildlife. The region is home to over 90 species of mammals, including black bears, mountain lions, and elk.
One interesting fact about the Grand Canyon is that it is home to the Kaibab squirrel, a unique subspecies of the Abert's squirrel that is found only in the pine forests of the North Rim. These squirrels have tufted ears and a white tail, making them easily distinguishable from other squirrel species.
Could the Mogollon Monster be a yet-to-be-discovered species of animal? While it's certainly possible, we at Squatchable remain open-minded to all possibilities.
