In a recent video from the YouTube channel BIGFOOT! / William Jevning, hunter T shares his experiences from a hunting club he belonged to from 1998 to 2008. The club had 30 members and access to over 3700 acres of land for hunting. T talks about some strange occurrences that he and other club members witnessed during their time there. One of the recurring incidents involved the hunting dogs. Occasionally, the dogs would suddenly become quiet while chasing deer. When the hunters went to check on the dogs, they would find them cowering in the truck, unwilling to come out. This happened a few times, but the club members could never determine what was scaring the dogs. Another strange occurrence involved missing deer. On three different occasions, deer that had been placed in a creek to keep cool disappeared. The members couldn't find any tracks or evidence of what might have taken the deer. In one instance, a member's heart and liver, which had been stored in Ziploc bags in the carcass of a deer, were found ripped open and the organs scattered about. T also mentions that people's lunches were often found eaten, with the plastic wrapping torn and the food gone. Large bags of potato chips and other snacks would be found busted open, with the contents strewn about. One club member, who had been in a tree stand on the far side of a creek, reported seeing a Bigfoot walk across a power line at the bottom of a hill. The man was adamant that it was not a bear or any other animal, but a large, hairy creature. T admits that at the time, he didn't put much thought into these strange occurrences. It wasn't until after his own encounter with a Bigfoot that he began to connect the dots and realize that these incidents might have been caused by the elusive creature. It's fascinating to hear about these experiences from a firsthand perspective. While Bigfoot sightings are often associated with the Pacific Northwest, stories like T's show that the creature could be living in many different parts of the country. And as always, keep an open mind and stay Squatchable! Before we wrap up, here's a fun fact: Did you know that Bigfoot is sometimes referred to as "Sasquatch"? The term "Sasquatch" comes from the Halkomelem word "sásq'ets", which means "hairy man". The term was popularized in the 1920s and 1930s by Canadian journalist J.W. Burns, who wrote a series of articles about the creature for the Vancouver Sun. So, whether you prefer to call it Bigfoot or Sasquatch, the creature remains a fascinating and mysterious part of North American folklore.
