In a recent video from the YouTube channel Grizzly Is On The Hunt, host Grizzly and his co-host "Gumshoguy" Val sit down with retired law enforcement officer and private investigator, Rick Taylor, to discuss his personal experience with a possible Sasquatch encounter.
Rick Taylor spent over 20 years in public safety with the city of Houston, working in various areas including arson, burglary, theft, homicide, and organized crime. He is now a certified private investigator who conducts fire and explosion investigations for major insurance companies, law firms, and adjusting firms. In his free time, he researches the existence of Bigfoot or Sasquatch.
During the conversation, Rick shares a chilling encounter he had while fishing with his son in a remote river bottom in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area around the early 2000s. He describes hearing subtle movements and noticing a distinct feeling of being watched. As a retired law enforcement officer, Rick was carrying a weapon for protection, but the feeling of being watched made him more alert.
Rick then heard the sound of a branch breaking, which sounded different from the usual sounds made by nocturnal animals. He grabbed his spotlight and shone it in the direction of the sound, where he saw a human-like facial shape with gaps and spaces in the leaves. He couldn't believe what he was seeing and quickly turned the light away, minimizing it to his son who was with him.
Not long after, Rick heard a faint rustling and swishing sound, and a dark object arced out of the brush line towards them, landing with a huge splash in the water just a few feet in front of him. Rick and his son both jumped up, startled by the object, which Rick estimated to be the size of a cinder block. Rick quickly grabbed his 357 gun and warned the mysterious being not to throw anything at them again.
Rick's story is a fascinating account of a possible Sasquatch encounter, and it's always interesting to hear about personal experiences from people who have spent their careers in law enforcement and investigation.
In unrelated news, did you know that the study of animal behavior is called ethology? Ethology is the scientific and objective study of animal behavior, and it involves the observation and analysis of animals in their natural habitats. Ethologists use various methods to study animal behavior, including observation, experimentation, and data analysis. By studying animal behavior, ethologists can learn about the evolution, ecology, and physiology of animals, and they can also help to develop conservation strategies for endangered species.
