California Witness Encounter: Mysterious Seaweed-Adorned Bigfoots in Carmel Heights

Claire, who was on a business trip, had gone out to photograph sea otters in Monterey when she stumbled upon something far more extraordinary. As she waited for sundown, she noticed a large, hairy creature moving on all fours towards her. As it came closer, she saw that it was followed by several other creatures, some of them much smaller. The creatures appeared to be engaged in some sort of ritual, with the larger one ripping out seaweed and throwing it back towards the females, who were chewing on the roots and draping it around their shoulders. Claire, in her attempt to document the encounter, tried to take photographs, but her camera malfunctioned, causing the creature to turn and stare directly at her. The creature, which Claire describes as being at least seven to eight feet tall, then began to approach her, emitting a sound that she had never heard before. She passed out, only to come to later, with no memory of how she got back to her car. She found herself with injuries to her left side and face, and her jacket was pulled over her head. Confused and disoriented, Claire drove back to her hotel, where the valet parking attendant called the police. The police, after hearing her story, were skeptical, but Claire's business cards and the seriousness of her injuries convinced them to take her account seriously. Claire's encounter is a chilling reminder of the mysterious and often terrifying nature of the unknown.
