Suddenly, her father yelled for everyone to get to the car. He grabbed her younger brother and sped away, leaving the relatives behind in search of their lost dog. Later, they found the dog two miles away, unharmed but smelling as if it needed a bath. Robin now considers Sasquatch a friendly forest creature and an older brother figure. She shares her 1974 experience camping in Yosemite, where she and her friend Colleen heard a bear rummaging through a cooler. The group of campers, startled by the noise, shone their flashlights on the creature, only to discover it had a man-like appearance.
