Recently, I came across an intriguing video on YouTube by the channel Rocky Mountain Sasquatch. The video, titled "Appalachian Bigfoot Video of Vocalizations & Sasquatch Eyeshine," features some amazing vocalizations supposedly recorded near the Appalachian Trail, close to the border of Tennessee and North Carolina. In the video, Derek from Rocky Mountain Sasquatch shares a backstory from his friend Shannon, who captured the vocalizations on video over a couple of weeks, mostly nights in October. Derek, who lives in the northeastern tip of Tennessee, mentioned that these vocalizations usually occur around his area during mid-late fall, from October through December. What's particularly interesting is that Derek had a couple of encounters with these creatures. One morning, he saw a Sasquatch standing beside the road, and another time, he noticed two sets of eyes in his backyard around 4:40 am. Unfortunately, Derek wasn't able to capture clear footage or photos of these elusive beings due to the lack of light and their nocturnal nature. Derek did manage to record a short video of about eight seconds using his phone's flashlight to illuminate his backyard. The video shows two sets of eyes, which Derek believes belong to Sasquatches. However, the phone's power seemed to drain quickly, with the light dying out after eight seconds. Derek also mentioned a foul smell and a feeling of being watched before recording the video. The Cherokee people in the area have local names for these creatures, including unawatawaha, kalu, or nanyang way. These names translate to "Mystic tribe" or "slope-eyed giant," and according to local lore, they are a tribe of people living in the forest. If you encounter one, you are advised to turn around and leave, as they are known to play tricks on your eyes. The vocalizations in the video are quite eerie and definitely worth a listen. I encourage you to watch the video and share your thoughts in the comments. Is this evidence of Sasquatch near the Appalachian Trail, or is there another explanation for these strange vocalizations and glowing eyes? Let us know what you think!
