Illinois Couple's Chilling Bigfoot Encounters in Shawnee Forest

In a video posted to the YouTube channel Dixie Cryptid, a couple from deep southern Illinois shares their encounters with the unknown. The husband, a dog trainer, describes a loud, siren-like noise that came from the woods behind their home one evening. The noise was so startling that even their 25 dogs, who usually bark at any disturbance, remained silent and still. The wife joined her husband outside and they both heard a pack of coyotes howling in the distance. Despite the coyotes' proximity, the dogs still did not make a sound. The couple returned inside, but the wife was awakened later that night by the same howling sound, this time much farther away. They had no more such incidents near their home. The husband also recounts an incident that occurred while he was training dogs in the Shawnee National Forest. He heard two trees crash to the ground in quick succession, despite the calm weather. He finds it odd that two trees would fall during such a short session, and cannot explain the occurrence. The video also includes a story from a lifelong resident of Eastern Tennessee who went bass fishing on the Little Tennessee River. He was awakened in the middle of the night by what sounded like someone walking through the woods. He heard heavy breathing and a slow sniffing sound, followed by a deep guttural growl. He saw two bright yellow eyes shining in the trees, but whatever it was disappeared into the woods when he shone his flashlight in its direction. The following year, the same fisherman returned to the same Cove with a friend and they heard a huge tree fall, despite the calm weather.
