Bigfoot Sightings in Franklin, NC: Eyewitness Accounts & Ongoing Investigations

If you're a Bigfoot enthusiast, you're going to want to hear about this series of sightings near Franklin, North Carolina. The YouTube channel, Bigfoot Adventures With Lisa, recently shared some compelling stories from this area. The first story takes us back to September or October of 1973. A couple was driving down some remote dirt roads in the mountains when they came across a man with a shotgun who told them to turn back. As they were leaving, they noticed a pine tree moving rapidly, and a figure stepped out from behind it. The man described the creature as large, with icy blue eyes, broad shoulders, and hair all over. It was walking on two legs and looked to be around 7 1/2 feet tall and 450 pounds. The next sighting occurred in 1985, when a man was walking down a logging trail near Walnut Creek. He rounded a blind curve and saw a creature squatting down like a human, scooping crawdaddies out of the creek. The man was so frightened that he ran back the way he came. In 2015, a BFRO (Bigfoot Research Organization) investigator was near Franklin off Highway 64. He would often go on night drives to look for Bigfoot. One night, he saw a coyote on the left side of the road and something standing upright on the right side. By the time he realized what he had seen, he was already past it. He turned around to find that the creature was gone. However, he did hear a pack of coyotes down below where the creature had gone. There have also been reports of barefooted footprints that were about 20 inches long, as well as unexplained howls in the nighttime. These stories are just a few of the many sightings and experiences that have been reported in the Franklin, North Carolina area.
