Bigfoot Encounter at Ape Canyon: A 1924 Miner's Account

Hank fired three shots at the creature, which Beck described as about seven feet tall with blackish hair. Beck said they saw three of the creatures outside, and a great commotion as if a large number of feet were trampling around. The miners grabbed their guns and began to shoot as the creatures attacked the cabin. Contrary to some accounts, Beck clarified that a giant boulder was not thrown through the roof, but smaller rocks were hurled at the cabin and some fell through the chimney. The miners only shot their guns when the creatures were attacking, and they ceased firing when the creatures quieted down.
