A Bigfoot sighting in Temagami, Ontario, Canada has been making waves in the Bigfoot community. The sighting was reported by a couple, Mr. and Mrs. Hybert, who were staying in a cabin on a small lake just outside of Lady Evelyn Smoothwater Provincial Park. According to the report, Mrs. Hybert was opening the blinds in the back bedroom of the cabin when she noticed a large, hairy, upright creature on the top of the hill about 50-70 yards away. Mr. Hybert quickly grabbed the digital camera and went outside to take a picture of the creature. As he was walking around the back corner of the cabin, powering up his camera, he noticed the creature had seen him and froze. Mr. Hybert managed to take two pictures of the creature before it disappeared. It reappeared 15 minutes later at the wood pile, peeking at him from the tree line beside a path. The creature was estimated to be over 10 feet tall and massive in size, roughly twice the size of the witness. The encounter was reported to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, and three digitally transferred pictures were left with the officer, along with a one-page written report on the incident and the witness's phone number. However, the officer seemed skeptical and asked if the witnesses were serious about the report. In the following weeks, the screens were pushed in or torn off some windows of the cabin. In 2010, the witnesses sold the cabin as the wife was no longer comfortable and afraid to go there. They believe the cabin has since been torn down. This sighting is not the only strange occurrence in the area. In the summer of 2004, the witnesses were awoken at 2AM by what seemed like deep penetrating ground thuds, like picking up a huge boulder and pounding on the ground. It shook the entire landscape and went on for about 20 minutes. In 2006, two black or dark blue helicopters were seen flying low and circling for several days and nights in the area. In 2007, three large boulders were placed on the road at the bottom of the hill as you come into the top of the lake. The Temagami area is known for its rich history of Bigfoot sightings and incidents, with many ongoing investigations by Ontario Wildlife Field Research. In our opinion, the witnesses, Mr. and Mrs. Hybert, are very honest and forthcoming with their answers to our questions. We appreciate the valuable information and knowledge we have gained by hearing their story.
