Salt Fork State Park: Bigfoot Sightings & Hunter Encounters with John Hickenbottom

I had the opportunity to speak with John Hickenbottom, a naturalist from Salt Fork State Park, about this encounter and other possible Bigfoot sightings in the area. John is a well-respected and vetted individual within the Bigfoot community and has a wealth of knowledge about the park's history of Bigfoot sightings. Salt Fork State Park is the largest state park in Ohio and is known as the Bigfoot capital of the Buckeye state. In fact, the largest Bigfoot Conference east of the Mississippi is held at Salt Fork every year. During our conversation, John shared a particularly intriguing story that happened in 1981. A man and his father were hunting in the park when they shot a doe. As they tracked the animal, they came across a large, hairy, bipedal creature standing over the deer. The creature picked up the doe and carried it off, leaving the hunters stunned and in awe.
