In a chilling interview from the YouTube channel Sage Outcast, Fred from the channel Subarctic Alaska Sasquatch shares his personal experiences with the elusive and often misunderstood creature known as Sasquatch. As a native Alaskan with a council card and a shareholder with Crystal Bay Native Corporation, Fred brings a unique perspective to the table.
In the early fall of 1983, Fred had his first encounter with Sasquatch at the age of 10. While on his way to his tree fort, he came face to face with a 10-foot-tall creature. The creature screamed at him and shook the brush before disappearing into the woods. Fred kept this experience to himself, not wanting to face the ridicule of his family.
Years later, Fred had another encounter while on a fishing trip with his family. As they were trying to free their boat from a gravel bar, they heard a loud scream coming from Black Bluff. A large, black silhouette appeared on the bluff, and the creature began throwing rocks at their boat. The rocks became increasingly closer, one even breaking through the tarp and hitting a quarter of moose meat. The family quickly took cover, and gunshots were fired at the creature. When they emerged from their hiding place, they saw marks in the fiberglass from the rocks that had been thrown.
Fred's most recent encounter was in 2006, while on a gold panning trip with his Elder. They had planned the trip for several years, and Fred was excited to be a part of it. However, their trip was interrupted by a Sasquatch, which appeared to be protecting its territory. The creature screamed and threw rocks at their boat, leaving Fred and his Elder shaken.
Despite the danger he has faced, Fred continues to share his experiences with Sasquatch in order to educate others about the creature. He believes that Sasquatch is a spiritual being, and should be treated with respect. Fred's stories serve as a reminder that there is still much to learn about the world around us, and that sometimes, the truth is stranger than fiction.
