Sasquatch sightings are a dime a dozen these days, but what about encounters with the unknown that can’t be easily explained? The YouTube channel Sasquatch Theory brings us a firsthand account of just such an experience in a video titled “QUICK ENCOUNTERS WITH THE UNKNOWN | IT FOLLOWED US BACK AFTER FISHING.”
Lisa, the witness, grew up in Somerset, Massachusetts and has been vacationing in North Conway, New Hampshire for years. She has a favorite fishing spot on the Saco River, a serene location where she’s never had any trouble – until 2017.
While fishing, Lisa noticed something off. There were dead fish in the water, something she had never seen before. She decided to cut her trip short and head back to the cabin she was renting with her fiancé. As they were leaving, Lisa heard a loud, inhuman scream and a tree fell. She got chills and started kayaking faster.
Back at the cabin, Lisa and her fiancé cooked their catch on the deck. Lisa had brought her dog, Stubby, with her, and had placed a cooler in front of the stairs to prevent her from running down. As they were getting ready for bed, Lisa heard footsteps going up the stairs, as if someone was carrying something heavy. The cooler was slid across the deck, and Lisa heard something trying to open the sliding glass door.
Her fiancé, who keeps a gun with him, went outside to investigate, but found nothing. The footsteps and noise at the door happened again, and Lisa’s fiancé went outside once more, but still found nothing. They heard a snorting pig-like sound across the dirt road, and Lisa was left shaken and uneasy.
Lisa didn’t know what to make of the experience, but after watching Bigfoot videos with her son, she began to wonder if that’s what she had encountered. The events leading up to the encounter, such as the tree falling and the dead fish, made her think that it could have been a Sasquatch.
The cabin that Lisa was renting was only two miles from the Saco River, and the witness believes that the creature may have been watching them fish and followed them back to the cabin to try and take some of their fish.
Whatever Lisa encountered that night, it left her shaken and questioning what she had experienced. If you’re interested in hearing more about Lisa’s encounter, be sure to check out the video on Sasquatch Theory’s YouTube channel.
