Father's African Encounter & Mysterious Cabin Creature in North Carolina

Cryptid sightings and encounters can be some of the most chilling and bizarre experiences out there, and the YouTube channel TheLeaf has compiled some truly eerie stories in their video "Chasing Shadows." One encounter took place in a massive field in Duncannon, PA in 2015. A group of friends were driving around and decided to stop to smoke a cigarette. As one friend bent down to pick up a glass bottle, the other saw four tall, slim creatures emerge from the field. These creatures had tan skin and were over six feet tall. As the friend broke the bottle, the noise attracted the creatures, who began sprinting towards the group. The group quickly ran back to their car, but the creatures followed, standing just outside of the headlights and staring at them with glinting eyes. Another encounter comes from a man's childhood in Africa. He was exploring the wilderness with local African kids when he wandered off to look at a river. On the other side, he saw a huge lizard-like creature drinking water. The creature noticed him and stared at him before standing up on two legs and grunting at him before sprinting away. The man had no explanation for what he saw, other than it being a "freaking dinosaur." A more recent encounter took place during a camping trip in North Carolina. A group of friends were staying in a cabin when they began to notice a strange smell, like burning tires. One of the friends, John, became increasingly unnerved and suggested they go inside. Soon after, they heard a knock on the door and a voice that sounded like one of their friends, but strained and without the usual cadence. The voice repeatedly said "let me in guys let me in" and turned into a deep growl. The group heard movement outside the cabin and eventually saw a creature that was taller than six and a half feet, with patches of fur, long slender fingers, and a head that looked like a mix between a deer and a wolf.
