If you're a fan of all things cryptid-related, then you're in for a treat. The YouTube channel C O F F E E & C R Y P T I D S recently posted a video about two fascinating creatures: the Yucca man and the Borrego Sandman. As a video curator for Squatchable, I couldn't wait to share this video with our readers.
The video starts off with the hosts enjoying some coffee for Sasquatch on Melrose Avenue in Hollywood, California. They then head out to the desert, specifically to the tree of Joshua, to begin their search for the Yucca man. The first sighting of the Yucca man was reported in 1971 at the 29 Palms Marine Base, where a guard claimed to have encountered a hairy man who bent his rifle in half. Since then, there have been numerous sightings of the Yucca man in the Antelope Valley, with some even calling him the Sierra Highway devil.
The video also explores the legend of the Borrego Sandman, a Sasquatch-like creature that has been spotted in Borrego Springs since the 1800s. The Sandman is said to be huge, with footprints that are 24 inches in length and a pale-colored fur that allows him to blend in with the landscape.
One interesting thing to note is that the Yucca man has become a prominent figure in pop culture, with an annual Yucca man Shakedown Shakedown in Joshua Tree and even a beer named after him at the Ogopogo Brewing Company in San Gabriel.
The hosts of the video do a great job of exploring these legends while also keeping an open mind about the existence of these creatures. They encourage viewers to search the internet for sightings and to go look for themselves.
If you're interested in learning more about the Yucca man and the Borrego Sandman, be sure to check out the video on C O F F E E & C R Y P T I D S's YouTube channel. And as always, keep an open mind and enjoy the journey of exploring the unknown.
