If you're a fan of all things Sasquatch, then you're in for a treat. A recent video from the YouTube channel Steve Donoghue features an interview with Nico, a lead investigator and manager at the North American Bigfoot Center. Nico is a paleontologist, trained tracker, and self-proclaimed "nerd" who runs the museum and handles most of the emails sent to the shop. During the interview, Nico discusses the naturalistic approach of the center, which focuses on the idea that Sasquatches are real animals living in remote forested wilderness areas around the world. The center's goal is to research how these creatures live and to educate the public on them in order to reduce the stigma surrounding the subject. Nico also touches on the famous Patterson-Gimlin film, which was shot in 1967 and is considered one of the most famous pieces of footage featuring a Sasquatch. The film has been the subject of much controversy, with some experts claiming that the creature in the film is a person in a suit, while others argue that it is a real Sasquatch. Nico mentions a book called "When Roger Met Patty" by Greg Long, which delves into the making of the film and the various theories surrounding it. Another interesting point that Nico brings up is the fact that Sasquatches are often associated with the Pacific Northwest, but they can be found all over the country, including in the Adirondacks and Florida. He also mentions that the two best pieces of footage featuring Sasquatches, the Patterson-Gimlin film and the Freeman film, both feature females. Nico also addresses the skepticism surrounding the subject of Sasquatches, stating that it is important to be skeptical of the information that is out there, as much of it is misinformation. However, he also encourages people to keep an open mind and to look at the evidence before making a decision.
