Robert's story begins with his interest in cryptids, specifically Bigfoot and dogman, which started in 2015. He spent two years researching in Oxford County, Maine, but found nothing concrete. In 2018, he decided to start his research in Georgetown and focused on cemeteries, where dogman and skinwalkers were often reported. He chose Mountainside Cemetery, which is surrounded by woods and has easy access from the interstate. After months of research, Robert became frustrated and turned to chance and incantations. In July 2019, he went to the cemetery at midnight, fully equipped with rocks and an incantation. He created a circle with the rocks and started his incantation. Suddenly, a set of glowing red eyes emerged from the northern woodline and approached him. A translucent figure of a man-like wolf appeared, and the statues in the cemetery came to life, their heads moving and eyes glowing. Robert heard whispers inside his head, and the dogman telepathically spoke to him, saying, "You shall suffer with us." Robert woke up the next morning, relieved that it was just a dream. However, his relief was short-lived as his wife, who was pregnant with their first child, and their 13-year-old adopted son, Grant, asked about the investigation. Robert told them that he went researching, and his wife comforted him, telling him never to go to the cemetery again. Two weeks later, Robert's wife lost their unborn child, and Grant drowned in the Kennebec River. Robert and his wife got divorced in 2023, and Robert can't hold a job. He knows he needs help but fears that his soul is lost.
