Bigfoot Investigator's Field Research: Gear, DNA Samples, and Track Analysis

Recently, I came across an interesting video from the YouTube channel Chuke's Outdoor Adventures, where he interviews Aleksandar Petakov of Small Town Monsters. The video is a goldmine of information for anyone interested in Bigfoot research, and I was thrilled to see the level of detail and thought that went into the gear and techniques used in the investigation. One of the most exciting parts of the video is when Aleksandar shows off his DNA sample kit. As a researcher, it's crucial to be prepared for any situation, and having a portable and easy-to-use DNA sample kit is an excellent tool to have in the field. Aleksandar's kit includes masks, plastic bags, latex gloves, tweezers, a magnifying glass, and paper bags for storing samples. He demonstrates how to collect samples using the tweezers and how to label and store them properly to avoid contamination. Aleksandar also talks about the importance of using 3D scanning apps to measure and analyze footprints. He uses an app called Scanoverse to scan moose prints and demonstrates how it can measure the length and width of the print. This tool is an excellent alternative to carrying plaster in the field and can provide valuable data for analysis. Another exciting piece of equipment that Aleksandar shows off is the Hill People Gear chest rig. This rig functions as a chest rig and fanny pack, allowing researchers to carry essential gear like a firearm, phone, flashlight, water filter, and Bigfoot Bushcraft fire starters. The rig is designed to be versatile and can be used for day hikes or backpacking trips. Towards the end of the video, Aleksandar talks about his background and what got him into Bigfoot research. He's always been interested in mysteries and cryptozoology, and his fascination with the Yeti and Himalayas sparked his interest in Bigfoot-type creatures. He started investigating on his own and created a series called Bigfoot Beyond. Overall, this video is an excellent resource for anyone interested in Bigfoot research.
