If you're a Bigfoot enthusiast, you'll want to check out the latest video from Eerie Travels on their YouTube channel. In this episode, authors Mark Muncie and Erica Lance share their experience at the Smoky Mountain Bigfoot Conference, held in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
The conference, now in its fifth year, is held in the convention center in the heart of the Smoky Mountain National Forest. Mark and Erica mention that the drive up from Florida was quite the adventure, with a major storm and microburst adding to the excitement.
One of the controversial aspects of this year's conference was the fact that all the guests were from the BFRO (Bigfoot Field Research Organization). Some in the Bigfoot community felt that this lack of diversity in opinions was a missed opportunity. However, Eerie Travels clarifies that they do not take sides in the Bigfoot debate and are open to all theories.
Mark and Erica had the opportunity to meet many Eerie Travels fans at the conference and even met a vendor with a cross stitch sign inspired by their Cocaine Bear episode.
One interesting encounter that Erica had was with a woman from Alabama who claimed to have a pack of Bigfoot living in the woods behind her house. The woman showed Erica a picture of a large print and a smaller one, which she had shown to her veterinarian. He confirmed that the large print was a Bigfoot print and that the smaller one was from a younger Bigfoot.
The woman mentioned that the Bigfoot walk single file to hide their numbers, which Erica notes is a reference to the Moose episode of the X-Files.
Overall, Mark and Erica's experience at the Smoky Mountain Bigfoot Conference was a positive one, and they encourage all Bigfoot enthusiasts to check out the conference for themselves. And be sure to check out the Eerie Travels YouTube channel for more of their adventures.
