A Tribute to a Fallen Friend and Researcher: Scott Carpenter Hey there, fellow Bigfoot enthusiasts! I recently came across a touching tribute video on the YouTube channel Canam Missing Project, and I just had to share it with all of you. The video is a tribute to a man named Scott Carpenter, who was a work associate and a close friend of the video creator. Scott was a kind and religious man who loved the outdoors and had a particular interest in Bigfoot. He served in the U.S Air Force in the 1980s and had a top-secret clearance. Scott was born in a small town near Knoxville, Tennessee, where he developed a love for the outdoors from his parents. He enjoyed bass fishing, hunting, and hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains. The video creator met Scott about 12 years ago through a phone call, and they quickly became close friends. They spent a week together in the woods, hiking and exploring different areas. The video creator mentioned that he knew the woods were special after just a couple of days, and he could tell that Scott was very comfortable in them. Scott's interest in Bigfoot started when he saw one peering around a tree at him when he was young. He wasn't sure what it was, but he knew it wasn't a bear. This encounter sparked his curiosity, and he started researching Bigfoot in the Great Smoky Mountains area. Scott and the video creator started working together on projects and eventually joined North America Bigfoot Search. Scott attended conferences and gave speeches on his work and research. He was a valuable member of the Bigfoot community, and his passion for the subject was contagious. One of the innovative ways that Scott and the video creator collected evidence was by using packing tape with the sticky side out on trees. They would put pancakes and bacon grease near the fork of the tree, high up, to attract Bigfoot hair. This method was a significant contribution to the Bigfoot DNA project of Dr. Ketchum. The video creator mentioned that he and Scott had a memorable experience when they were out in the woods together. They were talking on a ridge when they heard Bigfoot talking in a gully not too far from them. Scott had his camera going, and they were able to capture the sounds. Scott also worked with Les Stroud, Survivorman, on a Bigfoot series. He was the contact for the Great Smoky Mountains location, and he helped with the filming. Unfortunately, Scott passed away last night at the age of 59. The video creator mentioned that he was one of the nicest men he had ever met and that he would be deeply missed. I encourage all of you to check out the video tribute to Scott Carpenter on the Canam Missing Project YouTube channel. It's a touching tribute to a man who was passionate about Bigfoot and made significant contributions to the Bigfoot community. In closing, I want to remind all of you to keep an open mind and respect each other's opinions. We may not always agree, but that's what makes the Bigfoot community so diverse and interesting. Until next time, happy squatching!
