In a recent video from the Cryptid Creatures Podcast, hosts Brian and Todd sit down with guest Rich, a resident of Ohio who has had numerous encounters with Bigfoot and other cryptids in the area.
Rich's first encounter with Bigfoot occurred when he was just 10 years old, after his brother Rusty took him to a nearby bridge to listen for strange noises they had been hearing in the area. After hearing loud cracks and splashes in the creek below, Rusty revealed to Rich that he had been hearing these sounds for years and had even found strange symbols in the area.
As time went on, Rich continued to have encounters with Bigfoot and other creatures in the area. He describes one particularly memorable encounter with an adult male Bigfoot at the age of 13, which left a lasting impression on him.
Rich has been researching and documenting Bigfoot sightings in Ohio for over 50 years, and has even identified two distinct species of the creature in the area: the Southeastern Ohio Bigfoot and the Ohio Grassman. The Grassman is described as having shorter hair and a more muscular build than the Southeastern Ohio Bigfoot.
In addition to his research on Bigfoot, Rich has also studied the wood knocking and ground talk communication methods used by the creatures. He has identified several symbols used in wood talk, which he believes are a form of shorthand used by Bigfoot families to communicate with each other.
Throughout the video, Rich shares his experiences and knowledge of Bigfoot in a matter-of-fact and open-minded manner. He emphasizes that his research is a hobby and not a means to make money, and encourages others to approach the topic with an open mind.
