As a video curator for Squatchable, I recently came across a video from the YouTube channel M.L. Miller that focuses on some exciting new releases for Bigfoot enthusiasts. In this video, titled "Toes of Terror: Bigfoot Horror Reviews," the host, M.L. Miller, dives into a few thrilling films and a documentary that explore various aspects of the Sasquatch legend.
First up is the documentary "On the Trail of Bigfoot: Land of the Missing" from Small Town Monsters, directed by Seth Breedlove. The film is now available on demand as of August 22nd, 2023. Breedlove takes us on a journey to Alaska, where a high number of missing persons reports have been linked to Bigfoot sightings. Through interviews with experts, locals, and Bigfoot witnesses, the documentary delves into the mysterious connection between the disappearances and the elusive creature. Breedlove's skeptical yet hopeful approach makes for an engaging and captivating exploration of the Alaskan wilderness and its cryptid inhabitants.
Next, M.L. Miller introduces us to "Summoning the Spirit," a new film directed by John Garcia and written by Zach Carter and John Garcia. This supernatural horror film is now available on demand and digital download from Darkstar Pictures. The story revolves around a couple, Dean and Carla, who experience a heartbreaking miscarriage and find solace in a spiritualist cult living in the woods. The cult worships a giant who walks the woods, which turns out to be Sasquatch. The film offers an interesting take on Bigfoot's spiritual role, differing from the usual rampaging monster narrative.
Lastly, "Dark Nature" is discussed, a film directed by Berkeley Brady and written by Berkeley Brady and Tim Cairo. Now available on demand and digital download from Dread, "Dark Nature" follows five women on a camping trip to heal their personal issues. However, they soon realize that a monster lurks in the shadows. While the film doesn't explicitly call the creature Bigfoot, its large, hairy appearance and terrifying presence fit the description.
Each of these releases offers a unique perspective on the Sasquatch legend, from documentaries to supernatural horror films. As a curator for Squatchable, I am thrilled to share these new additions to the ever-growing world of Bigfoot-related media. I encourage our readers to check out the video from M.L. Miller and explore these exciting new releases for themselves.
