In a recent episode of the Bigfoot Society podcast, host Rick Rasmor shares some fascinating stories from his experiences in the Pacific Northwest. One particular story that caught my attention was about a chance encounter with a local resident while pumping gas, which led to the discovery of a place called Bigfoot Acres. As Rick was getting his gas, he struck up a conversation with the man filling up his tank. The man mentioned that he loved hunting and had a lab and a love bird with him. When Rick asked if he had ever heard of Bigfoot Acres, the man's response was intriguing. He said it was a place outside of Estacada, and while he didn't know the exact location, he had heard that if you go up a certain road, you can hear the area park and there's all kinds of grass. Rick asked why it was called Bigfoot Acres, and the man simply replied, "Bigfoot." When Rick asked if there were any Bigfoot sightings in the area, the man shook his head and walked away. Rick then went on to share another story from roughly 10 years later, while hunting with his dad in the wilderness. They heard what sounded like wood knocking, which lasted for an hour. Rick mentioned that while it could have been a bull elk, it didn't make sense, as they don't typically chop wood with their antlers. This experience, along with the earlier encounter at Bigfoot Acres, adds another piece to the puzzle of Bigfoot sightings and experiences in the Pacific Northwest. The Bigfoot Society podcast is a great resource for anyone interested in Bigfoot and Sasquatch.
