In a recent video posted on the YouTube channel Sasquatch Theory, host Kyle from Ohio shares a chilling encounter he had while coyote hunting. As Kyle explains, he was setting up his decoys when he noticed an eerie silence enveloping the area. Despite the quiet, Kyle proceeded to make coyote calls, but to his surprise, he received no response.
Suddenly, Kyle heard a noise coming from a nearby cornfield, about 100 yards away. At first, he thought it might be a coyote, but the sound was different – it was a deep, guttural howl that lasted between 8 and 12 seconds. Kyle describes the sound as "bone-chilling" and something he had never heard before.
Despite the unsettling howl, Kyle stayed put, hoping to catch a glimpse of whatever was making the noise. However, a thick fog rolled in, making it impossible for him to see more than 50 yards in front of him. As he waited, he heard the sound of something walking through the cornfield behind him.
Kyle describes the sound as "well-defined" and not like a deer walking. He became increasingly uneasy as the sound got closer, eventually stopping just a few yards away from him. Despite his fear, Kyle remained still, hoping to avoid drawing attention to himself.
As a seasoned hunter, Kyle has spent countless hours in the woods and is no stranger to the sounds of the forest. However, he admits that this encounter was unlike anything he had experienced before. He describes feeling an overwhelming sense of being watched and followed, even after he left the area.
Kyle's story is a chilling reminder that the woods can be full of surprises. While many of us venture into the forest in search of wildlife, sometimes the wildlife is searching for us. As Kyle notes, even if you're not a hunter, you're still vulnerable to experiencing unexplained phenomena in the woods.
