If you're a fan of Bigfoot or just enjoy a good reality TV show, you might remember "Finding Bigfoot" that aired on Animal Planet from 2011 to 2018. The show followed a team of four brilliant minds in the Bigfoot hunting community as they traveled to different locations in search of the elusive creature. Recently, I revisited this cult classic and I have to say, it's just as entertaining as I remember. The team is made up of Matt Moneymaker, Renee Holland, Cliff Barrickman, and the legendary Bobo. Each member brings their own unique perspective and expertise to the table. Matt is the founder and president of the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization, Renee is a field biologist and skeptic, Cliff is a field researcher, and Bobo is the missing link between Bigfoot and humans himself. In one episode, the team travels to Myakka Park in Florida in search of Bigfoot, or as they call it in Florida, the skunk ape. The team splits up, with Matt and Bobo taking the Swamp Buggy for a spin and Renee, Cliff, and their local guide Stacy Brown Jr. heading out on foot. As they investigate, the team uses thermal imagers to scope out the area, but Matt opts not to use his due to PTSD. As they walk through the woods, Bobo shares some words of wisdom, "There's these rich millionaires all over the world buying yachts and going to Aspen and Carlos and Lucas and they could get a Swamp Buggy and drive around the therm and really live. You can't get no better." Throughout the episode, the team splits up and investigates different areas, but unfortunately, they don't find any solid evidence of Bigfoot. However, Bobo remains optimistic, "We kept doing calls and kept doing calls but we didn't hear anything that's just the way squatching goes a lot of the time." In another episode, the team heads to the New Jersey Pine Barrens where they attend a town meeting of Bigfoot Witnesses. Renee and Matt decide to investigate the story of a woman named Regina who believes that a Sasquatch crossed the road in front of her. Regina describes the creature as hunched over, so Renee decides to recreate the scene to get a better understanding of what Regina saw. Overall, "Finding Bigfoot" is a fun and entertaining show that takes viewers on a journey in search of the elusive Bigfoot. Whether you're a believer or just enjoy a good reality TV show, "Finding Bigfoot" is definitely worth a watch. Who knows, you might just become a Bigfoot believer yourself.
