London Fishermen's Encounter with a Red-Furred Primate in Wanstead Park

According to Ian, the four friends went night fishing at an ornamental lake in Wanstead Park after playing squash. As they were getting bored and the fish weren't biting, they decided to wander around the park. It was then that Ian saw something truly terrifying. He noticed a pair of eyes reflecting in his torchlight. The eyes were large, not like a fox or a cat, but bigger than a human eye. Ian described them as being similar to the eyes of a moose he had seen in Sweden. The creature was standing about three and a half to four feet off the ground, and its whole body was covered in fur. As Ian and his friends approached, the creature let out a throaty growl and hissed, baring its canines. Ian described the creature's face as flatter than a primate's and its arms and torso as appearing longer than its legs. When Ian and his friends ran, the creature chased them, staying within the bushes and shaking trees and bushes as it went. Ian and his friends were so scared that they lay on the ground for an hour, listening to the creature moving around in the underbrush.
