Hiker's Terrifying Encounter: 8-Foot Bigfoot in Adirondacks

Hiker Nick went solo backpacking in the Adirondack Mountains of Upstate New York and had a terrifying encounter. After setting up camp between Mount Marcy and Basin Peak, he was awakened at 1:00 AM by the sound of large logs being smacked together. Believing it to be another hiker setting up camp, he went back to sleep. However, 30 minutes later, he woke up to complete silence and decided to investigate. As he shined his flashlight around, he heard loud, heavy footsteps coming towards him. A large beastly silhouette, 8 feet tall with long black and dark brown hair, emerged from the trees. Nick described its face as not quite ape or human, with big round eyes and a wide, large mouth. After staring at each other in silence, the creature let out an ear-piercing howl and Nick ran back to his tent.
