Have you heard of the different types of Bigfoot that roam the wilderness? Sure, you've probably heard of the Sasquatch, the tall hairy ape-man that inhabits the Pacific Northwest. But did you know that there are other varieties of Bigfoot that have been reported all over the world? I recently came across a video from the YouTube channel Tales Told in the Dark, where they discuss the Genoskwa, a subspecies of Sasquatch mentioned in Native American folklore as the storm giant man. The Genoskwa is reported to be larger, bulkier, and more aggressive than its Sasquatch cousin. According to Iroquois legend, the Genoskwa had impenetrable skin due to the thick layers of mud and debris thrown about their bodies, and they would roll in sap or mud and later in river rocks or shrubs found on the wilderness floor. But the Genoskwa isn't the only subspecies of Bigfoot that has been reported. There are also Type 1, Type 2, Type 3, and Type 4 Bigfoots, each with their own unique characteristics and behaviors. Type 1 Bigfoots, also known as the Patty type, are the classic Sasquatch that we all know and love. They have a large, powerful build, thick broad chest, and black hair. Type 2 Bigfoots, on the other hand, are more ape-like and are reported to be very territorial and aggressive. Type 3 Bigfoots are a mix between a mandrel and a human, with large dog-bear-baboon faces and oversized heads. And Type 4 Bigfoots, also known as Early Man Bigfoot or the American Almas, are the most human-looking of the hairy bipedal humanoids, possessing traits of the archaic prehistoric man. The video I watched also discussed the history of the Genoskwa and how they were once the law keepers of the Sasquatch, but due to regression, they became more aggressive and started preying on humans. However, their numbers have dwindled and they have become more nomadic, migrating from Washington to Ohio and the bleeding edges of New York. It's fascinating to learn about the different types of Bigfoot that have been reported and the legends and folklore that surround them. If you're interested in learning more, I highly recommend checking out the video from Tales Told in the Dark. And who knows, maybe one day we'll have concrete evidence of the existence of these elusive creatures.
