If you're a fan of cryptids and legends, then you'll want to check out this interview with Nash Hoover from the Bigfoot Society podcast. Hoover is the host, executive producer, and co-creator of the web series "Chasing Legends," where he and his team research and investigate different cryptid legends around the world.
In this episode, Hoover talks about his team's recent trip to Massachusetts to investigate reports of the Pukwudgie, a Wampanoag legend that bridges the gap between ghost and physical cryptid. The Pukwudgie is said to be a small person that vanishes, and is often associated with strange deaths and suicides in the Fall River Freetown State Forest.
Hoover and his team interviewed two local folklore and history experts, John Horgan and Paul Eno, who are knowledgeable about the Bridgewater Triangle and the cult and mob activity in the area. The team didn't find any concrete evidence of the Pukwudgie, but Hoover emphasizes the importance of looking for alternate explanations for reported sightings.
The "Chasing Legends" team consists of Hoover's cousin Michaela, Director of Photography Sammy Vernay, camera operator Brian Burning House, audio person Jack Kozitza, and newest member Alexander Pedikov. They are currently working on their first proper season, with the goal of releasing it early next year.
