Recently, I came across an interesting video on The Groove Zone (Olympia WA) Presents YouTube channel titled "HOOK, LINE & THINKER: A Podcast: INTO THE WOODS September 2023." The video features two men, Dub and Oz, discussing their recent trip to Capitol Forest, located south of Tumwater, west of Little Rock, and in the foothills of the Cascades. The primary reason for their visit was a sighting of a mysterious creature that occurred in the area.
Dub's cousin had been driving along Sherman Valley Road, crossing a bridge, when he noticed something unusual in the middle of the creek. At first, he thought it was an animal, but as he got closer, he realized it was something else. The creature was about four feet wide and five feet tall, with reddish-brown fur and medium-length hair. Dub's cousin couldn't tell how long the hair was, but he assumed it was around three inches long. The creature was not like a bear or any other animal he had seen before. It appeared to be a bipedal hominid, similar to a tribal creature.
The creature was squatted down in the middle of the creek, looking for crawdads or something similar. Dub's cousin couldn't see any buttocks, as the creature was facing away from him. After a brief glimpse, the creature disappeared, and Dub's cousin quickly drove away.
Dub and Oz decided to visit the area to see if they could find any evidence of the creature's existence. They took a tour of the forest with Don, who showed them some unique spots in the area. Stormy, who grew up in the midwest, was surprised by the dense underbrush and hilly terrain of the forest. She noted that it would be easy for a creature to hide in the area, as it was challenging to move through the thick undergrowth, even for a military person.
The men didn't find any evidence of the creature during their trip, but they left open the possibility that it could exist in the area. They emphasized that the forest was dense and full of life, making it an ideal habitat for a creature like the one Dub's cousin described.
Overall, the video is an intriguing account of a possible Sasquatch sighting in Capitol Forest. While there is no concrete evidence to support the claim, the men's descriptions of the creature and the forest's dense underbrush make for a compelling story. If you're interested in learning more, I encourage you to watch the video and decide for yourself.
