Have you ever wondered if there's more to the Bigfoot phenomenon than meets the eye? The YouTube channel MindShock delves into this very topic in their video titled "BIGFOOT - WHAT IS THE GOVERNMENT HIDING?" In this video, host Bruce McGuire explores the possibility of a US government cover-up of Sasquatch. McGuire starts by asking the question: is the reason Bigfoot hasn't been publicly accepted by the scientific community due to an active US government cover-up, similar to the one surrounding UFOs? He mentions stories of Bigfoot researchers getting their cars ransacked and being asked questions while in the woods looking for Bigfoot, suggesting that there may be some truth to this theory. One interesting piece of evidence McGuire brings up is a page from the U.S Army Corps of Engineers' Environmental Atlas for Washington state, published in 1975. This atlas refers to Sasquatch as a real creature and even offers a map pinpointing all known reports of Sasquatch sightings. Additionally, the atlas notes that a sample of reputed Sasquatch hair was analyzed by the FBI and found to belong to no known animal. McGuire also mentions a July 1975 Washington Star news report that states the Army Corps of Engineers has officially recognized Sasquatch, describing it as a creature that stands as tall as 12 feet and weighs as much as half a ton, covered with long hair except for the face and hands. The report also notes that a sample of Sasquatch hair was analyzed by the FBI and found to belong to no known animal. However, the FBI has since stated that they have been unable to locate any references to such examinations in their files. This has led to speculation that the evidence may have been classified or silenced. McGuire also brings up a release from the Department of the Interior Fish and Wildlife Service from December 21, 1977, which acknowledges that Bigfoot, also known as Sasquatch, has been described in publications and given a scientific name. All of this evidence certainly raises some questions and is worth considering.
