In a recent addition to the Sasquatch Theory YouTube channel, host and Bigfoot researcher Angela shares her chilling encounter with the elusive creature while playing disc golf in Illinois, just south of Chicago.
Angela, a 41-year-old mother of an 18-year-old daughter, has always been interested in the paranormal, but never thought Bigfoot would be something she would encounter in her suburban hometown. However, after a series of strange occurrences and a therapist confirming her hypervigilance during a stressful period in her life, she couldn't ignore the feeling that something was watching her.
On September 21, 2016, Angela and her daughter were playing disc golf at the Shanahan course, which borders a forest preserve and the iM Canal Trail. As they were waiting for the group ahead of them to finish, they heard a distinct knocking noise coming from the swamp area to the right of the tee pad. The noise was not random, but rather an intelligent pattern, almost like Morse code.
Angela, determined to find the source of the noise, walked up to the wood line and yelled into the woods, asking if anyone was back there. She received no response, but the knocking continued. She then heard rustling in the bushes and caught a glimpse of a large, dark figure moving quickly away from her.
Although Angela didn't get a clear view of the creature, she knew it wasn't human. The figure was too large and moved too quickly. She and her daughter left the course immediately, both shaken and grateful to be safe.
Angela's story is a reminder that Bigfoot sightings can happen anywhere, even in the suburbs of a major city. It's important to keep an open mind and consider all possibilities when encountering strange occurrences in the woods.
