Japanese Hebagon: A Five-Foot Reddish-Brown Gorilla-Like Creature in Hiroshima's Forests

Have you heard of the Hebagon, also known as the Hinagon? If you're a Bigfoot enthusiast, you might be familiar with its North American counterpart, but did you know that Japan has its own version of the elusive creature? I recently came across a video from the YouTube channel "Spirits with Spirits with John n Dave" that delves into the Hebagon, and I couldn't resist sharing what I learned with fellow Bigfoot researchers.
The Hebagon is said to reside on Mount Heba in Hiroshima prefecture, where around 73% of Japan's land is covered in forests and mountains, providing ample space for cryptids to roam undetected. While not much is known about the Hebagon, some reports describe it as a quiet creature that tends to avoid humans and animals rather than hunt them.
Unlike Sasquatch, the Hebagon is often described as resembling a gorilla or a giant monkey, with witnesses reporting it moving both bipedally and on all fours. Notable differences between the two include the Hebagon's apparent lack of fear of people, as well as the absence of any vocalization in any reports.
Hebogons are said to be reddish-brown or black in color, sometimes with a patch of white fur on the chest or arms. Witnesses describe them as having a foul smell and a face covered in bristles, with a snub nose and glaring intelligent eyes. The head is often reported as proportionately large and shaped like an inverted triangle.
The Hebagon gained attention in the 1970s and 1980s, with a surge of sightings in 1974 prompting the Shabara town office to receive 29 reports about the creature. However, sightings dropped off almost completely until 1980, and after 1982, there were no reliable reports of the creature. Some speculate that the Hebagon may have gone extinct or moved deeper into the forest to avoid humans, but we may never know for sure.
Despite the lack of recent sightings, the town of Shabara in Hiroshima prefecture is still influenced by the creature, and the video I watched has piqued my interest in the Hebagon. Could it be a race of primates that has gone off the grid, or simply a case of mistaken identity? I encourage all fellow Bigfoot researchers to watch the video and share your thoughts. Who knows, maybe one day we'll have definitive proof of the Hebagon's existence.
