Stan Setner, a member of the Bigfoot Mafia in Florida, shares his experiences and passion for the paranormal and cryptids, particularly Bigfoot, in a YouTube video. Setner, who grew up in the 70s, developed an interest in the paranormal after watching "In Search Of" and the "Boggy Creek" movie.
Setner talks about his involvement with the Bigfoot Mafia and their investigations in the Tampa area, as well as other parts of Florida such as Myakka State Park, Green Swamp, and the panhandle. He mentions that a lot of their investigations are done individually due to scheduling conflicts, and that he often goes into the woods with his wife.
Setner emphasizes that in order to have successful Bigfoot sightings, one must love nature and spending time outdoors. He shares that even though they don't have success most of the time, the small percentage of experiences they do have keep them drawn in.
He recounts a Class B sighting he had in Saint Augustine, where he and his wife saw a figure about 350 yards away, completely covered in red and walking through the sunlight. He describes the figure as having a height of seven and a half to eight feet. Setner admits that the distance is a factor that makes him question if he really saw what he thought he saw, but based on the evidence, he suspects it was a skunk ape.
Setner also shares other experiences he's had, such as hearing what sounded like two people talking, but turned out to be a samurai-like chatter with a primate grunt to it. He describes it as sounding like an adult speaking to a child. He admits that he didn't start his recorder, but the next day, he and his group went back to the area and found evidence of bedding.
Overall, Setner's passion for the paranormal and cryptids is evident in the video. He encourages viewers to get out there and experience nature, and who knows, maybe you'll have your own Bigfoot sighting.
