In 1969, a deputy sheriff in Grace Harbor, Washington, reported seeing a Sasquatch while driving home from work. The creature stood in the middle of the road, had no snout, and its face had a leathery look. It was 7 to 7 1/2 ft tall and weighed about 300 to 325 lb. The deputy was able to observe it for about 2 minutes before it walked into the brush. The interview with the deputy provides a detailed description of the Sasquatch. In 1975, a police officer in Washington state encountered a Sasquatch while answering a prowler call. The creature was very large and black, with short hair except on the face, and appeared to have no neck. It made no attempt to run when the officer approached.
