Tom Law, a cryptozoologist, receives a call from Liam Morris, a friend of Roger's from Cleveland, who reports numerous Bigfoot sightings in the region south of Cleveland, east of Mansfield, and all the way to Pittsburgh. The sightings are not isolated incidents but a pattern, suggesting an entire civilization hidden in plain sight. Liam also mentions being followed and believes his phone is tapped, with the involvement of home and security. Tom and Liam meet and discuss investigating the sightings on-site, using a compact drone with infrared technology. They discover structures made of branches and leaves, resembling crude huts, and a family of Sasquatches going about their day. When they fly the drone to another cluster, the Sasquatches seem to be aware of their presence, leading Tom and Liam to believe they are communicating across miles. The radio in the barn where they are operating from starts to emit a series of rhythmic thuds, similar to the sounds recorded in Patterson, suggesting that the Sasquatches are reaching out.
