In September 1941, the Chapman family, who lived in Ruby Creek, a small community in British Columbia, had an encounter with a Sasquatch. The family consisted of George, Jeie, and their four children. One clear, sunny afternoon, the eldest son, then 9 years old, spotted a large creature descending from the woods near a mountain. The family initially thought it was a massive bear, but they soon realized it was a towering human-like figure covered in hair. The creature entered their house, rummaging through an old trunk. George Chapman, upon returning home, found large human-like footprints around their property. Over the following week, the family noticed the footprints reappearing nightly, and their dogs became agitated at exactly 2 a.m. The encounter left the family deeply unsettled, and they decided to leave Ruby Creek permanently.
