Possible Bigfoot Encounter in Myakka, Florida I came across a fascinating video on YouTube posted by the Bigfoot Society that I believe is worth sharing. The video features an interview with a man named Hernando from Florida who had an encounter with a possible Bigfoot in Myakka State Park. According to Hernando, his father had passed away from pancreatic cancer and was letting go of a lot of things he had experienced in his lifetime. Before his father's passing, he was aware of Hernando's interest and activities in the Myakka area, and he wanted to ensure Hernando didn't give up as easily as he was wanting to out there looking for the skunk ape. One day, about two months before his father passed away, Hernando had expressed his frustration to his father about spending almost two years off and on looking for something that he wasn't sure existed. In response, his father told him not to give up and shared with him an encounter he had in 1996 while he was hunting in the same spot they had hunted for roughly 12 years. His father claimed that he saw a seven-foot-tall creature covered in hair and with red eyes that looked like a man in a gorilla suit. His father was so frightened by the encounter that he refused to hunt in that spot again and left his tree climber behind. Hernando did some research and found that the area where his father had his encounter was widely discussed as being haunted, but no one had ever said haunted by who or what. Hernando believes that this encounter was what people probably hear or see in that area and that's why it was considered haunted. He also found that there were other accounts of possible Bigfoot encounters in the same area going back several decades. The story of Hernando's father's encounter is absolutely fascinating, and it highlights the fact that Bigfoot sightings and encounters are not limited to certain regions of the country. It also underscores the importance of sharing these encounters with others in the Bigfoot community.
