Today we bring you a fascinating report on a recent Bigfoot Expedition in the Rocky Mountains, just outside the east border of Yellowstone. The Rocky Mountain Sasquatch organization committed to a week-long search for Sasquatch in the Sunlight Basin area. This area has a long history of Bigfoot sightings, and the team was determined to find evidence of this elusive creature.
During the expedition, the team members shared one of the many Sasquatch sightings reported to them. According to Gary's account, he had seen and smelled a Bigfoot in Cody, Wyoming. The smell he and his friend detected was of rotten gas, like that from a sewer, which was not present in the surrounding area for miles. This is a common occurrence in Bigfoot sightings, as they are known to emit strong, unpleasant odors.
Gary's uncle and he were elk hunting in the Sunlight area when they spotted something dark sitting on a rock outcropping. It was less than a half-mile away and in a clearing. They both got off their horses to observe it, and it just sat there watching them. They watched it for some time before they rode off. Gary's uncle described the creature as huge and black, and they both speculated that it might be a Bigfoot. They did not see anything for sure, but they were convinced that it was not a hunter, just a big creature sitting on a rock.
In another sighting, Gary and his friend were hunting towards Cook City when they started smelling a rotten odor. They discovered an old trapper's cabin about a quarter-mile away from them and thought it might be a bear. However, when they arrived, there was nothing there. Later in the day, they returned to the same spot, and the odor was there again. They sat there for a bit, and the smell left. They did not tell many people about this encounter because they did not want others to think they were crazy.
The Rocky Mountain Sasquatch organization was thrilled to hear about Gary's sighting and to add it to their sightings database. They pointed out that in their experience, when there's one Bigfoot around, there are usually more. They suspect that these creatures travel and live in small family groups or pods. The team also believes that the colors of Bigfoot may change during different seasons, similar to how mink, rabbit, and grouse change their hair color in winter to stay camouflaged.
The east border of Yellowstone, both inside and outside the park, has some of the largest concentrations of Bigfoot sightings in the yellow Teton area. The Rocky Mountain Sasquatch team has investigated several sightings in this area and finds it an amazing, remote, rugged, and beautiful location to search for Bigfoot.
