A 74-year-old Finnish-American lake trout fisherman named Ano Linan, who had fished Lake Superior out of Big Bay, Michigan for nearly 50 years, had a remarkable encounter with a Bigfoot in the Huron Mountains on October 11, 2025. The creature spoke to him in an archaic Finnish farm dialect from the 1920s, asking for his grandmother Aino Hakala by her maiden name.
