Idaho Couple Discovers 20-Inch Humanlike Tracks in Snow

There's something undeniably compelling about a fresh encounter story, especially one that comes with physical evidence. A recent video from the YouTube channel Bigfoot Michigan Rob & Beyond dives into not one, but three separate witness accounts, and the first one out of Garden Valley, Idaho is the kind of report that makes you lean in a little closer.
The story comes from a man named Steve, who lived on his property with his wife Amy since around 2002. Steve had been in contact with the host through email, sharing an experience that took place in the fall of 2017. What started as an ordinary morning quickly turned into something far more intriguing.
After receiving about six or seven inches of fresh snow overnight, Steve stepped out onto his deck the next morning as the sun was just beginning to rise. The snow was so light and powdery that he grabbed a regular household broom to sweep it away, rather than reaching for a shovel. That's the kind of detail that paints a picture of just how dry and fluffy that Idaho powder can get.
But once he started looking around, he noticed animal tracks circling his house. Bears and gray wolves weren't strangers to his property. He'd seen them pass through before, usually keeping a comfortable distance of around 100 yards or so. This time, though, the tracks were much closer to the house, and Steve admitted it was a little unsettling.
When he ventured further out onto his property to investigate, that's when things got really interesting. He came across tracks that he couldn't explain. Large tracks pressed into the snow, measuring roughly 20 inches long and 8 inches wide. And here's the detail that really stands out: at least three of the toe impressions were distinctly humanlike in appearance.
Because the snow had already started melting in the morning sun, Steve figured the tracks may have spread out a bit from their original shape, which is something that happens with snow prints as they warm up and lose definition. Still, even accounting for that, 20 inches is a massive print.
For anyone familiar with Sasquatch research, track casts and footprint evidence have long been a cornerstone of the field. Researchers like Dr. Grover Krantz and the late Bob Gimlin have studied these impressions for decades, and large, humanlike tracks with distinct toe definitions are exactly the kind of evidence that keeps the conversation alive. The dermal ridges, the pressure ridges, the way the toes splay, these are all features that serious researchers look for when trying to determine whether a track was made by something other than a known animal.
Steve's account is a great example of why Idaho remains one of those states that consistently produces credible reports. The terrain checks all the boxes: dense forest, mountainous regions, plenty of wilderness, and a relatively low population density in many areas. Garden Valley sits in Boise County, surrounded by the kind of habitat that makes it a perfect candidate for Sasquatch activity.
The video goes on to cover two more encounters, including what the host describes as a militant Dogman and a werewolf-type sighting allegedly out of Pennsylvania. But this Idaho story is a strong opener, and it serves as a reminder that witnesses are still out there, still sharing their experiences, and still finding tracks that defy easy explanation.
If you're interested in hearing the full breakdown, including the details Steve provided about the toe structure and the surrounding evidence, the video is definitely worth a watch. It's a solid listen for anyone who appreciates firsthand accounts delivered with respect for the witness and the subject matter.
